It is the center piece of the Oak Brook “Sports Core” which is supported by user fees and offers residents access to world class tennis, swimming and golf amenities. Additionally, the Sports Core boasts beautifully manicured sports fields and the acclaimed Oak Brook Polo Grounds, where world class polo teams have played matches every summer since 1922.

High Ranking Schools

Oak Brook has it’s own school district, District 53, which includes Brook Forest Elementary (K-5) and Butler Junior High School (6-8). Students in the district matriculate to Hinsdale Central High School. Each of these schools are among the highest ranking in the nation.

Oak Brook is a retail hub and is home to the famed Oak Brook Center, which opened to great fanfare in 1962, and is still one of the largest shopping centers in the Chicagoland area. Anchor tenants include Lord and Taylor, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.

Oak Brook and the surrounding areas offer a multitude of opportunities for shopping, fine dining and recreation. Neighboring villages offer easy and abundant train service to downtown Chicago.
